I know what it’s like to battle alcohol and what it’s like to finally find freedom.  Alcohol Uncensored was born out of the love, support, and joy that I first discovered in the alcohol-free community Over the Influence.  A recovering alcoholic myself, I now find strength in the AA fellowship and the 12-step programme, though my journey didn’t begin there.

My first steps into sobriety came from connection, honesty, and community,  which showed me the power of real stories and shared experiences. That’s why I created Alcohol Uncensored: a community that strives to remove the stigma, embraces honesty, and bring people together, no matter the reason they choose to live alcohol-free.

A bit about me

I’m a mum to three amazing boys with a long career in the IT industry. I hold a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Alcohol-Free Coaching, and I’m currently studying COSCA Counselling Skills. I’m a marathon and ultra-marathon runner which I love – none of which would have been possible had I not removed alcohol from my life.

My passion & my mission

I’m a massive advocate for prevention, not just intervention.  I believe in supporting people while it’s still their choice — long before alcohol becomes a crisis or a rock-bottom moment.  You don’t need to wait for life to fall apart before you’re allowed to ask for support or take a break from drinking.

My mission is to build a bold, supportive community that advocates for education and change around alcohol by empowering people with honest conversations, real stories, and practical tools before alcohol takes control.  Together, we can celebrate the benefits of sobriety, remove the stigma, challenge outdated drinking culture, and create space for connection, growth, and lasting freedom.
